The (military) Universal Equivalent which Karl Marx should have known..
The Universal Equivalent which Karl Marx saw in Money and it's transformation into Capital back into Money (M-C-M) may,in military terms,be a febrile German sophism directed at the German, Italian and French workers who he endeavoured to lead to The Socialist Elysian Fields.
That was something which Lenin got wise to in 1913 when considering the later writings of Capital on "the managerial class making capitalists irrelevant". He wrote"Marx did not write revolutionary cookbooks for the socialist cake shops of the future..".....
However, the source of Marx's industrial schema was Engels who may have erred in his communications to Marx....Engels,always the canny soldier and first martyr for Christian Socialism in May 1895 (See his1895 Introduction to Marx's The Class Struggles in France 1848 to 1850)..
The only universal equivalent, apart from money offered in exchange,is filial loyalty which one only finds in a family, not so much anymore in an extended family not even in Ireland. More so in THE ARMY where loyalty and devotion to duty and blind courage are encouraged and treated with honour and respect as a sign of MERIT...
Basta, followers of Marx. Read Friedrich Engels for the real picture,an arch-conspirator but a good friend of Marx...
Les soldats de l'Irlande et du monde sont sans peur ou couleur et croient en la chivalrie,la courage et en bon chance...
