 ...discern easily between a good doctor or lawyer and a bad  and incompetent one. He recognises a bullshitter instantly and gives no publicity to a has-been or knave (a false trader).

He recognises,to adapt Waiting for Godot,a false witness and perpetual beggar half a mile away.

A judge has a few hackneyed phrases from an old textbook but doesn't know what he is talking about most of the time at home. He is lacking in any knowledge of the conditions of existence of the majority of the population.

A soldier faces many difficulties in civil society. Always he is guided by recent experience. He soon dispenses with a political or legal fool and tells a stooge of powerful vested interests that he is not his man (unless he has no one else to turn to). He hates political dictators such as Hitler Haughey,Ahern,Lynch and Gildernew. He gives very little money away carelessly.
