Who or what is a haelion?

Someone who will not obey any law, rule or regulation . He tries to talk down to a more intelligent person and demeans a better-educated person. He is invariably small in stature and often he has lost a lot of weight which is largely the result of not listening to advice on healthy eating and there is no worse haelion than a member of your own family or social circle.....

.....

Someone who does not listen to advice where there is a general mood for a strike of some sort, political or economic.

....

In military matters,a foolhardy soul who sets out on a mission without the prior permission of his superiors or the knowledge of his colleagues. (There are exceptions in times of spy mania when it is an entirely secret operation of his own making in an atmosphere of mutual antagonisms and flagrantly contradictory allegations).

Or, another sort of haelion,a Corkman or Roscommon man holding forth on his views about politics, culture or wealth.Corkmen are worse than a Cavan man for talking shite and 'that is saying something'. And a Tyrone thug such as Eugene Mc Cullough or  Joe Mallon who will always be involved  at one remove in telling his three stooges what to do or say in an armed or violent conspiracy or revolutionary undertaking.

...

If you as a political revolutionary or armed rebel allow yourself to be deceived by a particular sort of fool such as is referred to,you are a bigger knave than him.

When is this advice most apt?

In those situations where a country fool who intends to use you for a sinister  purpose instructs you to "say nothing until you see a solicitor". That foolish 'wisdom' came from the Green Book. Its authors,Dodie Mc Guinness and Martin Mc Guinness could not see that a solicitor is not a proper professional if he is in hock to the  banks or holding  his position at the discretion of the Secretary of State or is a legal officer appointed by the courts system. If he is the latter, namely appointee of the courts system,he is under control of the police. That type is an unreliable and dangerous individual.

Mc Guinness ignored the general rule to 'think before you act on the basis of wise advice from an older person'.

....

The Provo haelion

" He would do anything for money or the love of sport."

Mc Guinness did not accept the Christian point of view, that of Saint Paul, namely that you have to account for your actions and,in Jesus words, carry the pack of the occupying army soldier two miles rather than one if you have your wits about you.

.....

A Provo haelion,to sum up,is someone who does not do what he is told to do in a political, military or civil enterprise in the hope of more lucrative pickings . The reason is that  he is in the circle of a country bumpkin. He is a headcase, in other words.

Only occasionally, does his outside bet or "better offer" yield good results. He soon falls by the wayside in the enterprise of his first choice.

None of the above wisdom is true of a real civil emergency or situation of prescient disorder because,in that situation,"All bets are off" and anyone with any decency or love of justice,"steps forward to serve".

Such a situation has been upon us since the signing away of democratic rights and freedoms by Adams and Mc Guinness in 1998.
