In the Spring of 1987 I learned from meetings with Martin Mc Manus that he had inside information on " something big coming up" and decided to warn Martin Donnelly and Gerry Adams to countermand this order...I warned both of them personally...

The Loughgall operation went ahead and eight IRA members were killed. The fiasco at Gibraltar is probably also this individual's responsibility.

In my briefings of August 1988,I told GHQ officers to use him as a cipher to feed his 'handlers' misleading information...

Does that satisfy the idle curiosity of those people who do not seem to realise that informers of an insurgent organisation  should be relentlessly weeded out and dealt with by any sensible person?

The old bollocks,Adams,saw himself as protecting me by sitting on my left in the Isaiciac- Italianate style in early May 1987.

It was in fact myself who was protecting him since he had no stomach for a fight anymore and his active days were long past.

I had read Ernie O Malley's book On Another Man's Wound and knew what these dog-in-the-manger types were like i.e.  blind guides,charlatans and the worst elements in every society.

Adams? Mc Guinness?

It should also be noted that John Joe Magee ignored my earlier warning relating to the events at Strabane in January 1985 and that operation went ahead,costing three men their lives.

It would seem that Carron was once again the culprit spreading false and untrue accounts of my "treachery".

Sadly,his activities cost eleven lives in combination with people such as Adams, someone once again who had no inside knowledge of his subject but deigned to talk down to educated people and throw about words such as "discredited". The more you know about fireside generals who cannot sit down and work out their ideas and plans and tactics and describe themselves "as just as intelligent as you",the more you realise that you dealing with a thinly-concealed Walter Mitty.

That is the reason that all military organizations should be led by well-educated officers.
