The killing of building workers by the IRA
In May 1987 at a briefing in the Sinn Fein bookshop in Dublin,I told the two male assistants that we should stop the reconstruction of police buildings after bomb attacks by executing the builders. This had been IRA thinking for some time. I specified many times after 1985 that public warnings had to first be given.
Between 1987 and the end of the Troubles,ten building workers were killed.

I don't think that I actually specifically knew any of the building workers and I had no advance knowledge.of any of the operations conducted....in difficult times such as those,many double agents and agents provocateur became involved and information is always changing hands for money... however,in the case of the security base repair workers coming from Roslea or Newtownbutler,I 'clocked' their van,a white Ford Transit passenger van in August or September 1987 and passed the details on in August 1988 in a written briefing. That led to an attack on a transport bus in East Tyrone. The employers were semi-fascist types involved with nepotic organisations such as the RUC and British Army,typical of the police 'clones' who denied employment to Catholics. That fact is something which remains the situation in this colony of Britain to our times ...
