The mortar attack on Enniskillen RUC Station, September 1983

Yet another example of firing mortars onto the same elevation.

The rockets were loaded with explosives, metal shrapnel and white phosphorus. Phosphorus was added to give the police "a taste of the same medicine they dropped on men, women and children while their soldiers were fighting at the front".

Nobody was killed but many policemen were badly injured.

Contrary to media reports, all mortars landed on the intended target.

I scouted out the firing point for the lorry from which the mortars were launched. I was personally responsible for the construction of this type of rocket and later mocked the victims of my political concupiscence with the IRA ( The 'Play' of July-August 1988," Ochon! Ochon! Ochon!", "Is it me you're looking for?").(I was thereafter the victim of extreme aggression, attempted murder efforts and murderous brutality by those enlisted by the Dublin Gardai who the Mc Manuses, Maguires and Mc Breartys and Tom Redmond answered to as well as Mc Cartan, Leonard and O Murchu. (O Riordain was an altogether more dangerous thug. He answered to Irish Military Intelligence and the CIA . He tried to bluff the Czechs, Russians and East Germans to no avail. In the 'play'  or world dram of July-August 1988 I warned the Russians and IRA of what was due to happen because of economic factors which were outside of my control or beyond the reach of contemporary economics or political science ["Ochon! Ochon! Ochon!" or "Is it me you're looking for?" The "Play" of July-August 1988]).

Those were some of the consequences of my early actions. My later Communist- Stickie opponents were only thugs who acted on instinct and would attack anyone.

The new modified type of rocket which was used at Enniskillen was used at Carrickmore in September 1983. There it claimed the life of an RUC member. The round head on the mortar was intended to give the projectile greater stability in flight and better accuracy.

In 1984 there were no supplies of explosive and the tactic was only resumed in 1985 when new supplies of TNT became available.

....

The attack of a conventional type using the element of surprise brought to an end the police brutality which had been directed at Catholics by police in Enniskillen police barracks. Today they have reverted to type allowing bombastic, loud Orange displays directed against Catholic worshippers on a random basis.
