The bomb at the Polytechnic

In the period from 1983-5 the IRA did all in its power to kill loyalist policemen.

One of the attacks was by a concealed bomb in the roof of a lecture hall at a third level institution outside Belfast.

Six graduate trainees were killed according to contemporary reports when the bomb exploded. Later reports indicate that two trainees were killed.

Manus Maguire the Informer indicated to me that Anne Marie Gleeson and Seamus Madden from Donegal were responsible for the IRA attack.
